So much has changed, yet so much has not

Since 1913, traditional craftsmanship has been the benchmark for quality at Huiskamp Carrosseriefabriek. Where the funeral carriage once stood at the centre of our work, it has now been replaced by the hearse. With the introduction of new techniques and materials, our working methods have continually evolved with the times. Yet our core has always remained the same: to build a vehicle that is dignified, functional and finished with meticulous attention to detail. This was the conviction of our founder, G.B. Huiskamp, and it remains the foundation of our craftsmanship today.

100th anniversary in 2013

In 2013, a century of craftsmanship was marked. To commemorate our 100th anniversary, this film was produced, presenting the development of Huiskamp Carrosseriefabriek from 1913 onwards. From the first carriages to today’s funeral vehicles, the film shows how craftsmanship, technical innovation and dedication have strengthened one another through the generations. The past is not a conclusion, but a foundation for the future. The film was presented during the Huiskamp anniversary celebration on 5 September 2013.

With pride towards the future

With more than a century of experience, we have built not only a rich heritage, but also a strong foundation for the future. Three generations of the Huiskamp family led the company and laid the foundations of our reputation in funeral vehicle construction. The families Bruntink and Legters then continued this course, introducing expansions, modernisations and innovations that steadily advanced the factory.

Today, around forty specialists work daily on the development, maintenance and restoration of funeral vehicles, with quality and reliability always at the forefront. In this way, we connect past, present and future, and continue to lead in exclusive funeral transport.
